To remove the category from your WordPress post URLs we need to go through the following steps.
For example, You want to make the URLs from https://elaanet.com/category/blog to https://elaanet.com/blog
- Go to Settings > Permalinks
- Under Common Settings > select Custom Structure
- Add /%category%/%postname%/ in the text box after your domain
- Type period/dot in Category base text box Under Optional heading.
Note: This method does not required any custom plugins.
